　GAFA【Google,Apple,Facebook(現Meta),Amazon】に象徴されるデジタル時代を私たちは生きています。学校にも、Googleツールを活用した教育実践や、支援学校では、Apple社のiPadが授業で使われています。本校は、今年度、国立大学法人鳴門教育大学 湯地 宏樹教授と共同研究として、DXを活用したシームレスな教育研究を行っています。そして本日、この鴨島支援学校から次の扉としてメタバースの世界へ踏み出しました。北海道の先生とアバターで出会いました。そこは、距離も移動も必要ない「もう一つの教室」でした。私が冒険した世界を少し紹介します。

　We are living in the digital age, symbolized by GAFA 【Google, Apple, Facebook—now Meta, and Amazon】. In schools, Google tools are used to enhance educational practices, and in special needs schools, Apple’s iPads are incorporated into lessons. This year, our school is conducting joint research with Professor Hiroki Yuji from the National University Corporation, Naruto University of Education, focusing on seamless education research utilizing DX (Digital Transformation).  Today, as a next step beyond Kamojima Support School, we have taken our first step into the world of the metaverse.Today, for the very first time, we met a teacher in Hokkaido through our avatars.
It was “another classroom” where distance and travel were no longer necessary.Let me briefly introduce the world I explored.

　私が訪れた世界は、北海道。そこで出会ったのが、北海道手稲養護学校三角山分校の林先生でした。

　The world I visited was Hokkaido.There, I met Ms. Hayashi from the Sankakuyama Branch of Teine School for Special Needs Education in Hokkaido.

　近くまで行くと、人と話せます。（そう設定していました。）一緒に走ったり、飛んだり、アバターで踊ったり、雪の世界で楽しみました。

　When you get close enough, you can talk to people—that’s how I set it up. We ran together, took off into the air, danced in our avatars, and just played around in a snowy world. It felt alive, like we were really there.
